The short answer is yes, anyone who brings along scrap metal including local tradesmen and businesses, manufacturers, construction and demolition contractors, government bodies and individuals, just about everyone is welcome.

If you are dealing with larger volumes of metals you may be interested in our collection service just give us a call, or send your enquiry via our contact form and we’ll give you a call. Do I need to bring anything with me?
Since the introduction of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act, all scrap metal buyers must ask you for a copy of photo ID and proof of address, which must be dated within three months.
A United Kingdom PHOTO driving licence is probably the easiest form of ID, but we accept other forms of identification please see below
If you have a car that you wish to scrap, bring the V5C registration document if you have it available, although in many cases we can still scrap the your vehicle without it.

*If the item from the above list does not show a current address, it must be accompanied by proof of address which must be less than 3 months old. (see proof of address section)

Council rent book or Benefit book
Council or Housing Association agreement
Utility bill (not a mobile phone bill)
